We could provide a better education to our own children if we didn't spend billions educating the children of illegal aliens, especially in California.

Yes! I’ve been saying this for years!! Schools in the poorest districts are the hardest hit by illegals and their anchor babies! They are and will continue to underperform to state standards. This is not a teacher issue. This is a failure of our immigration system!

CA leaders talking about problems with education is like the Cleveland Browns talking about the flaws of the NE Patriots.

I’m a Brown’s fan and I’d like to take offense at this but I just can’t!

The problem with your solution, as usual, is it's for a collective. Education has to become a value to individuals FIRST or it's just a waste of resources and disrupts the education of those that actually value it. Fix the families first by taking government out of their homes.
-
We need to get the federal government completely OUT of education.

Ummm, the countless programs that have been cut due to a lack of funding would beg to differ.

Sure, let's speak truth. Taxpayer spending on education has continued to skyrocket over the past 5 decades, while test scores have remained exactly the same. So let's talk about the "truth" that dumping piles more money into government-run systems doesn't work.pic.twitter.com/iYxZbN1NvF

To achieve a quality education is more than just schools. Kids need 3 squares a day, a proper roof over their heads, a safe environment, and parents who provide a decent foundation and who are present.
