Maryland HBCUs where underfunded and illegally duplicated course studies at white universities for 40 years by the MD Higher Education System. Md was court ordered to settle this violation twice. Currently still waiting meanwhile HBCUs have under enrollment problems.

It’s a lot of ignorant people on here that don’t know the history of HBCU’s and the history of why they exist, and more importantly why they should continue to exist. Smh
. We have a long way to go -
I also wish people knew the history of Black Sororities and Fraternities and their impact on creating great leaders. Too often we only hear of the party antics of the historically white greek system, not the service and honor of HBS&F.

Great! Now how about revamping public universities where all races are encouraged to attend?
-
All races have always been encouraged to attend HBCUs. In case you missed the memo HBCUs were needed because of a lack of opportunities for African Americans to attend Predominantly White Institutions of higher learning.

There shouldn’t be a need for a bill. I’ll say it again, if top tier Blk athletes would attend HBCU’s money would be coming in droves.
