Mostly we’ve come a long way but there are still a few stragglers out there. I applaud all that stood up to be accounted for. Each step was and is appreciated.

I don’t think we have mostly come a long way. There was an attempted lynching of a black actor who is on a major tv show, last week in the streets of Chicago. White supremacists are marching in our streets and holding office, not nothing to cover their tracks.

I can't help but wonder how those courageous souls would've felt about public policies that direct more resources into education than jails; or about a demagogue who thinks it necessary and her charge to instead remind them that crime exists.
