If police officers have to have extensive background checks to hold a gun and make sure their not insane or shady, Then so should the average citizen that can roam the city streets concealing weapons that can kill anyone accidental or on purpose.

The problem's not guns. Every last shooting has occurred in a gunfree zone ,always perpetrated by a leftist and quite often owned their firearms long before the incident. Also quite often,passed these background checks even though arrest records were available or were ....

I'm a gun owner who feels anyone should receive a mandatory mental health exam before being allowed to purchase a weapon. There should also be a mandatory age restriction, as well as mandatory sentences for gun owner's whose guns are used in a crime by a family member.
