Asking people to be honest and forthcoming is not an attempt to scare anyone. I believe we as a nation need actual factual data to make informed decisions. Less information in never more informative.

I agree that the INTENTION of this administration is to use the information against immigrants, however, there is a long history of citizenship questions on our census. As n amateur genealogist those questions offer invaluable Information.

The question shouldn't scare someone that has their green card. Besides, it is extremely easy to lie on the census. Find something worthwhile to spend the taxpayers on. Oh, and btw, you work for the people of California. Remember that.
