Somebody please wxplain to me why these DACA kids and other illegals tjat have been here for so many years cant go down to an immigration office and file the needed paperwork to start becoming citizens. What's stopping them? Seriously, why do we need special legislation?

Fact: That so-called "promise," which was actually a temporary act of administrative grace, was to temporarily *defer* the deportation of those here *illegally* who met the criteria. It was not a promise, nor a law, nor did it have any permamency.
