What about the janitors & maintenance people? Will they not be reimbursed as I read earlier?
It’s staggering to think about how much federal workers and contractors gave up during this shutdown. For many, what was lost is irreparable. Housing, health care, economic security — the list goes on. We owe it to them to keep the government open.

Contract workers will not get back pay, if that helps. Janitors and maintenance people fall in that category, if I'm not mistaken. Sad.

Since the government has been shut down 15% of a year we should get a 15% reduction in federal income tax.

Veterans and civilians are losing their very lives. We get no mention, only form letters Over 30 names here Senator, ppl who had lives, families, children. This is the collateral damage short sighted policies have wrought.

Every one of those stories were heartbreaking. I’m furious with the CDC, government, doctors and the people that abuse the meds, making people with real pain and are not addicted, suffer. I was recently told that I had to make a choice over anxiety meds or pain meds. Frustrated!
