Ask any Canadian. Always can be improved but access to healthcare is not based on your ability to pay. That’s just the way it is
Medicare for All shouldn’t be considered a radical idea. Everyone deserves health care, no matter how much money is in your pocket or where you live.

As a Canadian I can proudly vouch for that. I recently had minor surgery and it was flawless from beginning to end and didn’t cost me a dime. I have so much respect for the doctors,

Instead of paying for health insurance every month, we pay taxes so that the government pays for our health care. It’s extraordinarily simple.

Have you considered the Medicare Extra For All from CAP? They have done the economic model and charted a reasonable path from here to where we want to be. I think it needs a serious consideration.

Single Payer (SP) failed in VT. There is need for significant reform and many steps BEFORE we can begin to venture there - this is also the conclusion of Gov of VT. SP is a good eventual goal. Got to negotiate/increase competition to lower the Rx prices and Medical billing rates.

Just be articulate in how you plan to pay for it. That's the key. Nobody is debating Healthcare, they're debating what it will cost.

No serious people are debating the cost. Most of the free world has some variant of universal health care and pays far less than we do for the same or better outcomes. We're not the least capable nation and we had plenty of money for a trillion dollar tax cut for billionaires
