But..should the population of illegal immigrants be used to determine how many House Representatives each state gets? Isn't THAT using the census for political purposes?

You mean “Major victory for Democrats”, right? Democrats are the one, using it as a politics weapon. That’s how Democrats get extra electoral votes in CA and NY, by counting non-citizens.

They should definitely be counted...which is why the question of citizenship is critical. The non-citizens number shouldn't add to the Congressional count for that state.....only citizens should be represented in Congress.
