Pretty much one of the major points of the border wall, to combat drug trafficking.
A few moments ago I reminded Attorney General nominee William Barr that the War on Drugs has been an abject failure. America has an addiction crisis and we should be putting our resources toward combatting drug addiction, not locking people up.

A wall doesn’t fix addiction here in the US. The drug most are addicted to, comes from China on ships and planes.

The one we have now was good enough for DHS 10 years ago. Construction is funded already for next segment. The rest of border can’t have a barrier yet.
