It is worth noting that Federal employees who don't pay their bills & have bad credit/debt can actually lose their jobs over it. As part of security clearance requirements, they need to be financially stable.

That’s really sad isn’t it, seeing that a 5 time bankrupt man can be elected President

The IRS couldn't care less about us

Employees of the IRS are not the IRS. Congress makes the laws, they enforce them. They go to work every day just like you do. The IRS is underfunded as it is. Many are not trained well because of time restraints. You have a complaint, address Congress to write coherent laws.

Yeah, just as the IRS wouldn't accept a furlough notice from your employer as an excuse for not paying your taxes. Who do they think they're fooling?

They also tell you, you can file for unemployment. Keep the shutdown going.

You should see the letters the US Forest Service people are getting. One instructs them to “monitor the news” for any word on when to return to work. That’s all good, if you can pay the cable bill!

Witnessing my daughter go through this shutdown is horrendous! My heart goes out to these dedicated workers. People care about mortgage and food, not a freaking wall.

She hasn’t missed a paycheck yet. Vote to fund the border wall and she won’t. There is more at stake here than the delayed paychecks of people who have stable jobs. Border security is national security

The only threat I'm feeling right now is coming from Washington, not Mexico. And I live in Texas. There is no threat from the border, that's exaggerated BS.
