Fair wages? You are clearly in the pocket of the Ca teachers union. Lets remember, a tenured teach retires with 90% of their salary paid for the rest of their life. That can be 9k a month, and equates to a $1.6m retirement nest egg. Thats MORE than fair.

Not true! My pension is 1400.00 a month for 28 years of teaching. My health insurance is 1250.00. Ya really getting rich from my bloated pension.

Lazy reactionary solution that will cost school district hardly any money. Instead of dealing with the real issue of mental health. EVERY school should have a professional mental health specialist to help identify and help our children with issues

Play this out.. Feis has a weapon. Does he get into a shootout with the gunman? Another armed teacher doesn’t know the situation- starts shooting and kills someone with Friendly fire. Or Feis’ stray bullet misses target kills a student. Then he is vilified...

We keep saying arming teachers would be dangerous yet in districts that have done the exact thing. They have not had a school shooting.

Sorry repub state wants to not pay taxes. I live in NY and I know not everyone thinks this but I love the services schools etc that we get here for the taxes we pay. I just don’t care for sending money to states that Don’t take care of their own and we have to do it for them.
