As a breast cancer survivor who was lucky enough to have good insurance through my husband’s employer even before the ACA new rules of no lifetime caps, etc, I know of many women and their families who were financially ruined by cancer. Also, they frequently didn’thave access to

As long as it is full coverage Medicare. If it is the 80/20 Medicare that I have, you would like have a big Bill unless you have secondary insurance.
-
The thing abt Medicare is remembering the costs are greatly reduced before the 80/20. I was so relieved that my 150k neck fusion /3 days ICU cost me 3k. Medicare dictates how much they allow you to b charged. Best insurance I’ve ever had

I would be dead of appendicitis or drowning in debt if I didn't have universal healthcare through the VA. No one should have to put their lives on the line for decent healthcare; I'm excited for *everyone* to enjoy the healthcare that I do.
-
I know the VA isn't the greatest & care depends on where you are, but it's decent where I am & I can't afford private insurance. Everyone deserves healthcare.

My dad died from colon cancer. Soapbox comment: everyone should have a colonoscopy at age 50 (and have it covered by insurance). You may need your colonoscopy earlier than age 50 if you have a family history.
-
Still too late. I found out I was stage 3 at my first at age 40 with family history! I told docs for years and they said wait until your 40. I wish I had insisted earlier, would have been much easier treatment!
