as one who founded a non-profit @VOHorg that raises money for cancer research I find this appalling, we have amazing research and are slowly winning but EVERYONE should be allowed to be a survivor or at least have the chance to be....we need funding on both sides of the ball

My mother had treatable cancer, but chose hospice rather than treatment -so as to not bankrupt my father. She died less than 4 months later b

This is heartbreaking on so many levels: the cancer, the economics factor of it, what The US spends on defense vs. it's citizens. Worst of all, it's as if it's all just numbers on a spreadsheet to those we elect to protect us.

We pay 452 a month for Obama care but can't get husband's hip replaced because we have a 7,000.00 deductable. It doesn't work!

My life was saved by an insurance program PA used to have. "Adult Basic" was for ppl too "rich" for medicaid, but too poor for their own insurance. Right after I got it (after a 1 year wait), I went for a mammo & they found cancer. Everything was covered. The PA GOP cancelled it!

Before the ACA, I was able to get Medicaid for my cancer (thank you! taxpayers). After 3 different diagnoses, I can't even get affordable dental insurance. They may not be able to deny, but they can price me out.
