This year I introduced the LIFT Act and the Rent Relief Act — two bills to help our middle class. With housing, tuition, and other costs rising year after year, it’s time Congress helped to put more money back in the pockets of millions of American families.

I introduced a bill to reduce maternal mortality in August. It’s alarming that Black mothers are three to four times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications than white mothers.
