I get that not getting paid sucks. And this shutdown is total BS. But people get fired/laid off all the time. Maybe they should be responsible adults and not live above their means so that in a time of financial crisis they have a way of paying their bills.

If you’re so concerned and I doubt you are, then get your buddies together and pay their bills. I don’t see this same concern for all the homeless who are sleeping in your sidewalks and ally’s.

It's called savings...it's a concept shared by everyone except government employees. Easy concept, though it does take a small amount of restraint these days to live beyond ones means.

I’m a big believer in savings and it is a practice in this house, but you do realize that the majority of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, right? Not just gov employees. It is as high as 78% of Americans.
