Other countries can manage national health insurance; why are we so inept?
Health care should be a right, but the reality is that it is still a privilege in this country. We need that to change. When someone gets sick, there is already so much else to deal with: medical procedure risks, emotional pain. Financial anxiety should not be one of them.

Yes! Had to drop my 850.00 a month plan( just for me) after 6 months last year and deductibles r still too costly to get it this year .Dont qualify for subsidies yet i am disabled in my fifties...Pls let me live long enough to see Universal Health Care become a reality!

Thank you for saying that Kamala. As a 2 time cancer survivor, I would have possibly died without the ACA. Now my cancer has returned & thank God I am still getting assistance though the ACA or I would not be able to get treatment. Everyone should have the right to healthcare.

I was unaware that a hospital ER could refuse medical treatment.

They can't, but that isn't "health care." the most they'll do is stabilize the patient and refer them to other doctors they can't afford. Solves nothing and is far more expensive long term.
