Who would be paying for this Medicare for everyone? And who exactly is going to be using it? You Kamala? Are you going to use it or won't you use something a little bit more robust in coverage?
There should be nothing partisan about wanting a system where health coverage and care are based not on how much money you have or where you live. We need a system with the goal of good outcomes rather than the goal of high profits. That's why I support Medicare for All.

Elected officials basically have Medicare, Vicki—why can’t we all have what they get? I, for one, would end up paying more in a Medicare for all system but I’m fine with that since I believe healthcare to be a basic human right.

That’s the whole idea behind the mandate. If everyone pays, which they would through taxes in a single-payor model, then we each pay only a little. Of course, the govt needs to be able to negotiate with drug co’s rather than continue to pay the highest costs in the world as now.
