It happens to us in the military almost every year. Luckily they passed a real defense budget this year. It never breaks or hurts us. In fact we just end up with a few paid days off. Do your job and pass a real budget and quit kicking the can down the road with all these cr's.

People are sometimes so oblivious to the plight of others. As an elected he's paid to be in touch. Now people know how to vote going forward.

There's a small mindedness here. The real issue is that over 400,000 households will be impacted and limit spending in their communities impacting many many small businesses.That's retail, restaurants, etc. States like Virgina will see an enormous economic impact.

There really oughtta be a law where regular working people can vote on congresses salary and let them see how much they like earning a minimum wage as well as being subject to the shutdown pay losses. They are so out of touch. Soooooooo out of touch.

It should be illegal that vote on their own salaries. Especially now, when it is obvious that they are greedy, power hungry and unethical.
