Why does that matter? Doesn't matter if it's men or women, the ones in office should be the ones most capable of the job, not because of the sex.

First off it matters, because it’s historic. Secondly, it matters because male dominated legislatures have gotten into this mess. Maybe letting a majority of qualified women lead will be what it takes to right this ship.

That's nice. But is the necessarily better? Is more women or "people of color" really a great thing? I judge people on their accomplishments and voting record. Not their skin-color, or what's between their legs. Policy. Ideas. That's what it's about. Not colors or genders.
