Good! Don’t let your colleagues parade as if this bill will address all the inequalities of our criminal justice system. It won’t. But definitely pleased to see this bill get passed!

Smoke and mirrors!! It ONLY applies to federal prisons. The majority of incarcerated people in this country are either in state prisons or detained in city & county jails (2+ million[state/local] vs. 225,000[federal]).

Putting people in jail as a meter of time is archaic. Everyone needs to be evaluated for theornpropensiry to commit further crimes. 8f no reform in prison is warranted, they should be issued day fines (fine according to your income) or have the option of community service.
