Can we do something about the interest rates? I’ve been paying off the same balance for 3 years. My payment goes up but the balance never goes down

I have the same problem. I have been out of school for 6 years. My balance has increased by $12k. I keep paying and they keep going up.

I’ve accepted that we will never ever pay off my husband’s student loans. I was pretty excited that he qualified for loan forgiveness until we found out he didn’t have the “right kind” of loan. What a scam.

Or maybe we make jobs that don't require a college degree more appealing and lucrative and not stigmatize people who don't have degrees in the first place. Not everyone is meant to go to college. Somehow we've lost that option in our society.
