Denial of bond is also used to force people like #RealityWinner into a plea deal. She was wrongly denied bail and kept in horrible conditions for 15 months before she plead guilty. In return she recieved the longest sentence ever.http://Standwithreality.org
Whether someone stays in jail before trial or not is far too often a matter of wealth, even though a few days behind bars can cost people their job, home, custody of their children—or their life. We need to reform our broken bail system.

Bail should be based upon risk and in cases of non-violent crimes, it shouldn’t be about wealth.

Our judicial system is a reflection of the people who preside over it. You can't truly cripple a person unless you have removed all possibilities of hope. This is the mindset of those who govern our country in attempts to suppress prosperity in certain groups.
