I live in Canada with “free” healthcare where my mother in law waited for over a year for a new hip, 6 months for heart by pass. I went to emergency with asthma where I was left on a stretcher in a hallway for 3 days. and BC sends me a bill monthly for my free care.

I agree and whatever that looks like Congress and the military should be on the SAME plan you dole out for the citizens you serve. I will vote for that. No separate plan for elected people.

Middle class and swindles. They have a major ponzi scheme going on, paying Paul while robbing Peter, Mary, Bob and David.

All those supporting Medicare for all, in order to fund it you’ll pay about 18% of your income. That’s the taxable percentage needed to raise $3.2 trillion. That is also on par with what France taxes it’s citizens to pay for universal healthcare

It works! Maybe the taxes are a little higher but the upfront costs for everyone are less. Canadians love their system because it works for everyone.

More and more doctors stopping to see Medicare recipient because of declining reimbursement. Concierge medicine is growing. Why push a failing system? Only to have bigger government control over our lives? I am a physician and I support many parts of ACA. But not MC for all.

Single payor doesn’t work well in either the UK or Canada. In the UK, women aren’t getting their Pap smears regularly.

And Congress should lead the way and sign up. If it’s good for everyone, that should include the House and Senate!!!
