Yes all people should be heard by healthcare providers, AND extensive research has shown a gap in healthcare quality by gender and by race, including how much a provider discounts symptoms you’re reporting.

And not assume that we are hysterical or hormonal or dramatic or unstable. I've experienced it all and almost died from acute double kidney failure because it was "just more back pain"

Both patients and caregivers should be given the dignity that they deserve.

What about those family members, or patients who are using foul language, or even berating us for whatever reason they want to. Such as not getting pain meds, or even having to wait in an ER waiting room.
