Soboxone availability is a huge problem. Pharmaceutical companies and @US_FDA are complicit in this epidemic.

This is a huge problem. My husband has been clean for 21/2 years because of Suboxone, it is not available to my son or any of his friends that desperately need it. This is so wrong!

We also need to establish that there are millions of true pain patients who rely upon their opioids to have some quality of life, they need to be treated fairly and not like ADDICTS
-
I don’t think treating anyone with an addiction like an “addict” helps anyone. The stigma and bias against an addict actually hinders recovery efforts. Fight the addiction not the addict.

Also, please stop putting us chronic pain patients in the crossfire. Being chronically ill is hard enough without having to worry about if we will have our medications taken away, and how we’ll cope once they are.

I don’t think her intention is to put chronic pain patients out of meds.

With all due respect, Senator, it's not only a health matter. It is a domestic and international crime matter, it is a cultural matter and it relates to health way beyond addiction. The numbers are clear: it's not a big Pharm issue, but over-regulation feeding the black market.
-
To divert the public's attention from the failure of law enforcement to exert control over international organized crime, doctors were terrorized, patients were stigmatized and obviously turned to the black market or suicide.

Let's work to reschedule marijuana at the federal level. It really can help those looking for a way out of the hell they live daily.

I love you Harris. Thank you for bringing this up and it's more than addiction. People are not looking to take fentanyl. The people that die from it, like my husband, took part of a counterfeit pill and did not think they were taking fentanyl. This is poisoning not overdoses.
