The truth is.....homeowners should not have forests come right up to their doorsteps.

Us humans here in SC cut trees and use them to make 2 x 4s to make homes for "homeowners" Seems to work well. We also do control burns of the underbrush- dates back to caveman times.

People need to clear out what was once known as "fire circles" (may not be getting name correct) around their properties. That means clearing all dead trees, brush, pine needles and grass away from your house by at least 100 yards, preferably 500 or more.

California caved to extreme environmentalists, left our forest land unmanaged, put the logging industry out of business over an owl, and allows non profits to buy up and "preserve" thousands of acres of land, but, it's "global warming and PG and E" that are the problem,

We didn't cave. We believe in environmental protection and PG and E literally burned down an entire community after being repeatedly warned of high winds and sparks from their transformers.

I’m glad someone knows you need fuel for a fire. When you have that much undergrowth fuel source it wouldn’t matter what century this fire started. So climate change isn’t the problem, it’s poor policies and forests Maintence. It’s best to thin out old trees and underbrush
