I live in Ventura County and saw workers out in all of the fields today. They can’t afford to take “holidays off”, they need to put food on their tables. Whenever I drive by these fields, I always send them a thank you and a prayer

I am a native Californian who went north and stayed. When I would drive south to see my family I would always make sure my kids (from my car on I5) thanked all the farmworkers for putting food on our table. They could not hear us, but I wanted my kids to know what it took.
