So is animal abuse, yet it’s still a slap on the hand in most states. Kamala, any input? Of course not. Tweet, stir up controversy and division, and move on.

This man was accused of DV by his first wife and had pulled a weapon at least 2x prior to this tragedy. Why he was still allowed to own a weapon is beyond me! If there were laws in place to allow authorities to take his weapons away - this possibly could have been avoided!

I hadn't heard this, thanks. I did hear that he had a list of others in the hospital he wanted to target, because he blamed them for talking his ex-fiance into breaking up with him.

Thank you Kamala for bringing attention to this issue. We have until the end of the month to raise money for Chicago domestic violence survivors in shelter over the holidays. Any help is greatly appreciated! https://www.gofundme.com/christmas-magic-for-survivors …

Another woman tried to get an order of protection against Dr. O'Neal's murderer. I don't know if she was successful. In IL, subjects of protective orders are supposed to surrender their weapons, but I don't know how often they do.

'Supposed to.' And of course, someone known to be violent enough to warrant an order of protection is just going to hand over his firearms...
