I agree with you 2,000%. Unfortunately, our kids do not face the same threat... it's SIGNIFICANTLY greater now. Columbine was an exception - now it is (unfortunately) a common occurrence. Who do we think the "leaders" in our country are looking out for- US or the nra/gun mfrs?

There was a young man that died in this shooting after surviving Las Vegas shooting. Now it’s so common that people are involved in one or more mass shootings in their lifetimes?

What isn't normal is that it's becoming normal. Mass murders, yesterday's news, supplanted by new violence. While the survivors grieve for the rest of their lives. We need real empathy--as if the losses were ours, because they ARE--and to fight to end this.

While the rest of America grieves the murder of 12 people in the Thousand Oaks shooting, the NRA congratulates Brett Kavanaugh. https://twitter.com/nra/status/1060700243828858880?s=21 …

I now have a stop drop & escape plan in every public place I attend. When I enter anywhere I look for places to hide & escape routes. I shouldn’t have to feel like a sitting duck in my own community
I’ve more of a right to live in happiness & safety than in fear

Between Columbine and Sandy Hook. Action should've been taken, years ago.
