My grandkids have hispanic relatives (1/4 hispanic).They are VERY close to cousins/aunts and uncles. My anglo/scandinavian relatives aren't as close by a longshot. I can imagine the torture it is for children and parents to be separated in their culture. Family is all they have.

So what's the point of a court ordered deadline if there are no consequences for violating it? Those are called suggestions. And people wonder why Trump continues to do whatever he wants. It's pretty simple. He gets away with it.
