This week in 1949, President Harry Truman nearly doubled the federal minimum wage from 40 cents an hour to 75 cents. Our current federal minimum wage of $7.25 was set back in 2009 and hasn’t increased with the cost of living. It’s time to raise the wage.

I haven’t made $7.25 since the early 90s, when I was 14 or 15. It’s crazy how people are supposed to live on that.

The problem with having politicians in the pockets of the corporations is that they conspire to rig the system against the working class. That hurts future generations to come. That is what is happening now. Corporations are businesses they are NOT PEOPLE.

The Federal minimum wage should be indexed to inflation.

If you indexed the minimum wage to inflation it would give people more spending power which would create more demand which would drive prices up so we would raise the minimum wage AGAIN which would give people more spending power AGAIN which would increase prices AGAIN.
