Sandy- please do not place all the blame on the truck drivers making our roads unsafe. Maybe you should ride with a driver and see what they go through
Don’t let this slip by: a provision added to the FAA reauthorization bill would get rid of the critical protections states around the country have passed giving truckers meal & rest breaks. These drivers often work long hours & drive hundreds of miles. This is a safety issue.

Years ago I represented trucking companies. Less sleep and less meal breaks for commercial truckers equates to more accidents. The Republican provisions added to the FAA re-authorization bill puts corporate profits over public safety. Very dangerous.pic.twitter.com/qWCYJGeYR9

In Indiana, we have this guy challenging

My husband was a truckdriver, and the company he worked for pushed everyone to "massage" their logbooks. I know there is a system to avoid this now, but someone will come up with an override. Trucks are dangerous, and sleepy drivers more so.
