Sure, but what is really needed out here is more protection for truck drivers when we make the critical decision to get off the road and park the truck when conditions are too dangerous. Like icy roads with 50 mph crosswind. (Wyoming)

I'm an otr truck driver, 3000 miles per week and I never have to drive tired. But every winter, I drive many thousands of white-knuckle miles in whiteout storms to deliver the freight on time. I wish I had some legal cover when I judge it to be too risky due to road conditions.

the FAA has nothing at all to do with land based vehicles off of an airport, that would be the NTSB National Transportation and Safety Board, which BTW, the FAA falls under their jurisdiction. I have worked both as a truck driver, and in aviation.

It is also critical that truck drivers have recourse when these trucking companies push their drivers to cheat or be fired. You can have rules but when it comes to feeding your family or driving tired which would you choose.

Lots of truck drivers lease their trucks from their employers. Lease pmts deducted from their pay. Refuse a load. Lose your job, lose your truck. When they’re 1-2 years into pmts it’s hard to walk away. Unscrupulous companies recycle same trucks through several leases.

Are you kidding! FAA is AVIATION. Truck drivers are not flying those trucks - anything the FAA does or does not do will IN NO WAY impact Truck Drivers! How do you not even know the very basic acronyms?
