It should be illegal for any SCOTUS nominee to refuse to answer a Senator's question during the hearings. If it regards classified info they should have to answer in a closed hearing. We deserve every answer.
Yesterday I asked Kavanaugh whether or not he believed Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act — which prohibits state and local voting laws that discriminate on the basis of race or color— was constitutional. He refused to answer.

Some questions are not appropriate for a judge to answer...politics and future decisions are off limits to prevent bais. The questions need to apply to his past decisions and determine if he is capable to do the job.
