Republicans are not serving the American people or public good.
I would think anyone who wanted to sit on the nation’s highest court would be proud of their record and want the American people to see that record — not be confirmed shrouded by uncertainty, suspicion, concealment, and doubt. We should not be moving forward with this hearing.

Keep in mind that if they walked, the GOP can then easily confirm him because they have the numbers. What they need to do is ferociously grill him under oath, catch him in a lie and use that against him to impeach him at a later date...when we've taken back control.

I would think a white man who was being vetted would be given the same scrutiny that Elena Kagan got. But I would have also thought that a Senate would not possibly go forward when the nomination came from a president credibly accused by sworn statement in federal ct. So.
