In this country we are given equal opportunity, not equal outcome.

Trust me, outcome will never be equal for people living in poverty. Some of us like to keep them from going under completely, however.

I choose that daily. My wife needs a heart transplant but we have 80/20 insurance thankful for that! Just the surgeon will cost 500k , the bills will be in excess of 1 Million this doesn’t include medication. I have been a Nurse 30 years. 200,000 bill is more than possible!

My daughter is in similar situation. The stress & fear is horrendous.

My daughter is living that nightmare right now. Her husband is too frail (cancer) to take care of himself; so she has to stay home from work. She has FMLA, but no pay. He has only disability. They live on small portion of income. They sold all they had to pay for oil for winter.

That has to be so hard on everyone. I hope things turn around for them and they find someway to get financial help.

#GOPComplicity and silence both are driving middle class into poverty, buried under medical bills among other atrocities in America. Paid family and sick leave is critical. It's#TimeToCleanHouse.#VoteBlue#VoteThemOut2018pic.twitter.com/rA1e5sAPFE

I totally agree but who will pay? Small business can’t afford to pay salaries to people who are not there. We have to hire Simeone to do the job or do it ourselves as business owners. I already put in a 40 plus. I want people to have leave but how will this work
