As a medical student and your constituent, I'd love to receive training to address this crucial aspect of maternal mortality. Thank you for doing something proactive to address this crisis, Senator Harris. Hoping this legislation successfully passes!
Implicit bias in the health care system is one reason why Black women are twice as likely to suffer from life-threatening pregnancy complications. I've introduced a bill to address this crisis by providing grants for implicit bias training for medical students and professionals.

It’s women in general. We have a higher likelihood of dying in the hospital than men for a variety of reasons and our child birth mortality rate is autrocious. Represent all women please.
