Black women have been putting in the work during elections, going door to door, organizing even when the cameras were focused elsewhere. We shouldn’t just be thanking women of color for electing progressive leaders, we should be electing women of color as those leaders.

Black women and men voted out Roy Moore! The majority of Black Women did NOT vote for Trump. And yes, we need more Black Women in political office. More women and people of color. Because congress does not currently reflect our diverse citizens.
