In case you hadn't noticed, we have violent illegal immigrant gangs from Mexico & Central America murdering US citizens right now, not 37 years ago. Wait. What? You mean there isn’t an anti lynching law on the books? I truly thought there has been a law since the 60’s! It’s pretty scary that in 2018 we have to worry about lynchings! It will be a lot scarier if this isn’t passed into law.

Your reaction is actually the whole point of this legislation. To instill fear, hate and division. Murder is illegal. Lynching is not occurring. Yes, it should be a federal crime, but that's not really her motivation.
