I subscribe to the belief that no leadership or assistance has been provided
#PuertoRico in transitioning into self-governance in 1952 while excessive expectations & unique obstacles have interfered in realizing stability & self-sufficiency. They need the tools to accomplish it. -
To be clear: Puerto Ricans are fully capable of developing & supporting self-governance, but were thrust into the position unprepared & have been burdened in ways no other state or territory has. They need tools & advice in support, not interference or exploitation.

What failed response? We hv been propping up Puerto Rico 4 yrs despite their fiscal mismgmt. & corruption. The last request I know of was 4 $94.4 BILLION in disaster aid from Congress. This is unsustainable. Time for the people in Puerto Rico 2 make their government accountable.
