This “if you work hard” u deserve _fill in the blank_ is that bootstrap mentality that oppresses POCs. Some don’t even have boots to pull up yet. This is about equity, not equality.
Anyone who works hard deserves to be fairly compensated. It’s time to make equal pay a reality for all Americans. It’s time to end this fundamental unfairness.

Ms. Harris, I've been a nurse for 22 years. Wages are same scale as since I began this career. Now, top of pay scale now, truly a dead-end profession. Wages are stagnant, while prices have risen each year. I've never been so broke in my life. Raise medical career wages?

I work in a hospital (SoCa), nurses work 3 days (36 hrs), 4 off per wk. 72 hrs a pay period, 24 hrs are OT. Most drive newer SUV's, Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, many regularly take PTO for overseas trips. Maybe u need to change hospitals or more school?
