The combined population of these countries is about 439 mil, to the US 325.7 mil. Their cultures are also more internally uniform and lack histories that have led to the greatest violence in the US. Violence occurs in different forms in these other countries. Example follows.

South Korea has suicide rate of roughly 14600/year. Scaled up to US population size, it would be 92875/year, which is much larger than the US gun death rate and twice the US suicide rate. This point is given for perspective/scale, not that it somehow justifies the US outcome.

America needs to learn that gun ownership is a BIG responsibility & privilege; not a god-given right. There should be strong background checks, an increase in minimum age, mandatory training, stringent licensing/registration of fire-arms.
-
A strict application process to gun ownership is
#gunsense. Heavy/military grade weapons of war should be banned or made extremely difficult to obtain by the common citizen. The path to owning a gun should be paved with dozens of hoops & hurdles.#GunControl#GunReformNow - 2 more replies
