We need to train our kids in trades, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, sheet metal workers, these companies are struggling to find help. These are 60K+ a year jobs, we need to train our kids for these.

Don’t u mean free that’s what u promote! California schools r the ones that cut out job training skills which is run by the politicians. So it is ur fault kids don’t have a lot of opportunities. Instead u convince them they AlLL need college. Which is insane and very cruel .

How about staying in school that is free. Public school should be teaching the minimum skills needed for minimum wage jobs. Instead liberals have been pushing college prep classes when they know a majority will never attend.

Jobs market is worst when skills are not up to date, more jobs should offer the opportunity to continue education because high school graduates are suffering the most.

It’s not “our country” that need to make investment in job training. That’s not how capitalism works. We need to create an environment that promotes businesses to tackle that goal.

How about a living wage for everyone? It should be somewhere around $24-26 an hour if wages hadn't stagnated since the 70s. Also worker co-ops. Also
