The only way they can be compared (and should be compared) is on the grounds of proving just how biased the police are in their response to violence, depending on the group enacting it.

We have to compare them simply on the basis of how the police responded tho. Peaceful protests were met with aggression and violence by police. VS tonight's actual terrorism was met with "Ok guys, go home now."

I had to straight up un-friend someone I've known over a decade for trying to make this false equivalence. And I'll do it again to family too if it comes to that. I've kept saying I had no chill left, but apparently only now is it true 100% - I draw te line at supporting a coup.

I heard far too many stories from friends and Twitter mutuals of mine that went to the BLM protests about how they were peacefully demonstrating, only for police to start boxing them in and letting loose with tear gas and less-than-lethal ammunition.
