What a brilliant metaphor for <div> and <span> in HTML. Absolutely love it.

I think this is really admirable from on how their CFPs/talks break down and how the committees are organised:

The first program I wrote was when I was younger than this but it just pasted nonsense on the screen in an endless BASIC GOTO loop. No way would I have been able to calculate freakin' subatomic particle collisions at 12 even if I had tried.

It's a silly thing really, but I just realised how much better my experience of the internet has been since I started using a password manager and literally don't know what any of my passwords are.

There's some heavy smug-dog vibe in the way this is presented, but I find it fascinating. To-do lists, and feeling like they always gather more items on them rather than allowing me to feel accomplished, are a big bugbear of mine.

Look who just popped up in sponsor list. It's amazing to see amongst so many awesome brands! Looking forward to connecting (virtually) with new people there.

Thinking back to when updating a website meant updating a file, opening a FTP connection and transferring that file to see the new HTML out there. And now we have, err, git-based websites that we push files to in order to have new material reflected.

Gonna be real with you. A year into this pandemic thing and working from home without a proper holiday or seeing other people is getting kind of old.

I'm a dabbling user. As well as telling me that I really do like Marlborough Sauvignon blanc, it let me order wine through the app. And in a _very_ clever UX move, as long as it detected the order was delivered, it offered to add the bottles into my "cellar". Bravo.

I really enjoyed working with on this post. I think cloud IDEs (and being able to develop on a tablet if you so please) are a great option.

I've started thinking about a gaming PC. Why have I started thinking about a gaming PC? Forget that, let's talk about why gaming PCs are pretty much uniformly hideous. Does nobody else want a performant (quiet/cool) PC case without windows/LEDs/etc nonsense?

Might set myself a weekend project of converting everything I have running on various Raspberry Pis in my house to run in containers.
