Interesting the publisher has substantially changed the article during "typesetting" without acknowledgement, including dropping the entire rambling attack on @GidMK and ICCRT and renumbering the appendices. Good thing I saved a PDFhttps://twitter.com/CT_Bergstrom/status/1376080062131269634 …

In his latest paper about COVID infection fatality rates, John Ioannidis does not address the critiques from @GidMK, but instead engages in the most egregious gatekeeping that I have ever seen in a scientific paper. pic.twitter.com/P08sFIovD6

Huh! Good thing we ~all~ saved PDFs Astonishing that the publisher has not made a public statement @wileyinresearch

I mean, they specifically say it's citable, but then make changes without any acknowledgement. Especially since they have kept the same DOI for both (substantively different) versions. @C0PE

They /removed/ the criticism (which involved analyses of Gid's twitter profile pictures). Not really defenisible. Besides I've read all six MAs in this piece and JPAs was pretty badly lacking.

You are engaged in science-denial. There are no changes to the paper published: "the available evidence suggests average global IFR of ~0.15%" - Euro. Journ. of Clinical Invstgn. Also published on US NIH website (which always applies further peer-review before posting any study)
