Definitely. Do you think RNA seq tech will ever advance enough to get ‘ancient’ RNA data, or are molecules just too degraded? This level of DNA analysis was unfathomable until pretty recently.

I'm no ancient DNA/RNA expert, but I definitely think it's likely we'll see ancient RNAseq in future. Definitely degraded, but RNA k-mers of reasonable size for seq should still be viable.
