I love @NautilusMag! In a world where a lot of facts are learnt in 140 characters(or 280), it's great to focus on in-depth science articles and reduce the clutter of incoming information. I really hope they're around for a long time to come.

I think the open letter was a response to that. I’m not saying they didn’t screw up but they’re aiming to use all their funds to pay off their dues to writers. Isn’t that a problem a lot of independent journals are facing now?
