First, what the GOP is doing is not "crazy." It's an effort to prevent honest discussion and debate in a democracy, an effort that undermines the very foundation of a free nation. And enabling it through censorship is not the appropriate response.
#Resistance is the response.
I agree, however, we *don't* know the involvement of the administration and the larger GOP in this particular issue. Overall, yes, they are certainly preventing honest debate via blatant lies and crying 'fake news', but I'm not sure that's what's going on in this particular case.
